Our Tea

our tea

It all started with a simple wish: to share something real that something brings a little joy, one cup at a time. We found that in Taiwanese tea. Each leaf carries both flavour and story.

The story of Taiwanese tea started in the 17th century, and today the island is  known for producing some of the world’s finest teas, especially oolongs, often called Formosa Oolongs. Taiwan’s landscapes pour their magic into every leaf, from lofty oolongs to smooth lakeside blacks, each as unique and expressive as a fine wine.

Taiwanese tea culture blends Chinese and Japanese influences into a calm, thoughtful style, something we deeply connect with. It’s this spirit we’re proud to share through our very first collection: Pure Leaf Series.

This series features six teas we love: one green, three oolongs, and two black teas, made from full, unblended leaves and nothing added. Each tea is directly sourced from farmers in Taiwan who share our values and have become our true partners on this journey.

We offer our teas as both loose leaf and convenient pyramid-shaped tea bags, so you can enjoy them your way. Whether you prefer a minimalistic tin, a refill pack, or an elegant tea bag box, we’ve got you covered. Because we care about the planet as much as the tea, most of our packaging uses sustainable materials: our boxes are made from responsibly sourced FSC paper, while our pyramid tea bags and refill packs are made from composable corn starch.

It’s just another way we bring a little care and thoughtfulness to your tea experience, so you can feel good about every sip!

Pure Leaf series

One of the few true green teas from Taiwan, Bi Luo Chun is simple, rare, and full of character. Grown in the misty hills of Sanxia, New Taipei City, its hand-picked leaves are slender and twisted, with dark green hues and silvery tips.

What sets it apart? It’s completely unoxidised, preserving the pure essence of the tea leaf, but with surprising depth. The liquor is clear and tender, unfolding with notes of light roasted chestnut and a crisp green apple brightness.

Impossibly fresh yet gently layered, this is a green tea for those who love clean, vibrant flavour and the natural richness of catechins.

Taiwan is a tea lover’s dream. And when it comes to oolong, it’s leading the way. Somewhere between green and black tea, oolong is partially oxidised, offering the harmony of both worlds. And Taiwan’s misty mountains, high altitudes, and craftsmanship make it the perfect home for these elegant leaves.

This lightly oxidised oolong comes from lush hills of Taiwan, where tea gardens cling to the slopes and clouds kiss the leaves. The leaves are rolled into tight little balls, a signature shape that slowly unfurls as it brews, revealing layer after layer of character. The dry leaves are deep green, and aromatic. During brewing, they yield a pale, golden-green liquor that’s clear and bright. What follows is a tea that’s clean, floral, and delightfully easy to drink. The aroma? Think orchid, jasmine, a hint of fresh fruits. The taste? Lightly sweet, smooth and delicate with layers with floral and fruity notes and a long-lasting finish.

The kind of tea that surprises you with every cup, revealing something new each time.

Fitting Mood

This tea feels right at home in the rhythm of the city, quiet but alive.

A mid-morning pause at your kitchen counter
  •
A gentle companion for deep focus at your desk

  • Unwinding on the balcony as the city lights flicker on

It’s a little daily ritual that softens the noise, bringing calm, clarity, and just the right amount of glow to your everyday moments.

A high-altitude tea with a warm, toasty soul.

Grown at over 2300 meters in Taiwan’s Central Mountain Range, this high mountain oolong comes from the cool, mist-covered slopes of Lishan. Up here, the air is thin, the clouds roll low, and the tea grows slow, developing rich layers of flavour. But the magic doesn’t stop at harvest.

In Taiwan, roasting tea is a slow art. After oxidation, these ball-shaped oolong leaves are gently roasted over several rounds; a slow transformation that deepens the tea’s profile, shifting it from bright to warm, mellow, and layered. The dry leaves are dark green to chestnut brown, tightly curled and slightly glossy. Once steeped, they open slowly, releasing a golden amber liquor with comforting notes of toasty fruit, and a whisper of charcoal with a caramel aroma.

With full-bodied and smooth, it’s the kind of tea that helps you pause, refocus, and find your rhythm again. Like a mountain retreat in a teacup, it’s with a hint of campfire warmth.

Fitting Mood

We think of it as a tea for slow resets:

  • Catching your breath between back-to-back meetings
  • Journaling by candlelight on a quiet evening
  • Stretching into your Sunday morning with no plans at all

Warming, grounding, and gently energizing. It’s the kind of cup that helps you refocus, recenter, and start fresh (even if it’s the middle of the week).

A modern classic with deep roots, red Oolong surprises with a bold twist on tradition. Among Taiwanese oolongs, it carries the highest oxidation level, pushing the boundary between oolong and black tea while still honoring its heritage.

Since its debut in Taiwan in 2008, this tea blends two worlds: it follows the classic Taiwanese oolong crafting process, but adds in the heavy fermentation of black tea. A tea that’s rich, smooth, and full of character. Its semi-ball-shaped leaves unfurl into a brilliant orange-red liquor, more vibrant than most oolongs, yet gentler than a black tea.

With high level of oxidation, red Oolong has the depth and color of a black tea, while retaining the signature sweetness and clarity that oolong lovers adore. Expect a mellow richness with notes of ripe fruit and sugary sweetness, like a harmonious duet between two tea traditions.

The dry leaves are dark, and hemispherical. Once steeped, the tea is thick and silky, with a ripe fruit aroma and a long, satisfying finish. It’s a tea that yields multiple infusions, each one offering a little more of its layered charm.

A newer face in Taiwan’s tea family, red Oolong has quickly won hearts, not by being subtle, but by offering something richly different.

Fitting Mood

  • Late-afternoon sun hitting your desk
  • Turning up your favorite playlist
  • Savoring a warm cup after a city stroll

Red Oolong brings a little boldness to your day, smooth, stylish, and full of unexpected charm.

A naturally sweet black tea without honey added, just pure leaf magic. Grown in the sun-kissed hills along Taiwan’s eastern coast, it’s made from leaves gently nibbled by tiny native insects, leaf hoppers. Their visit sparks a natural reaction in the plant, releasing a soft, honey-like aroma that carries all the way to your cup. No flavouring, no sugar, just nature doing something remarkable.

The honey fragrance is often called a happy accident, yet farmers have learned to master it through patience, timing, and deep respect for the land. Every harvest is a delicate dance between tea and terroir.

The dry leaves are long, dark, and twisted with golden tips, already hinting at something special. Once brewed, they reveal a rich amber liquor with layers of wild honey, ripe fruit, and gentle spice. Smooth and naturally sweet, it’s a comforting cup that needs no additions: perfect for those who want to skip the sugar, but not the flavour.

It’s soft, round, and quietly delightful, a sweet reminder that sometimes, nature really does know best.

Fitting Mood

We think of it as a tea for unhurried moments:

  • Enjoying a slow morning breakfast
  • Catching up with friends over a sunny brunch
  • Savoring a quiet moment after a busy day.

Like a warm sweater for your taste buds, this tea wraps you in a little sunshine, no matter the season.

We select one of Taiwan pride when it comes to black tea, Ruby 18, also called Ruby Jade. Grown near the serene Sun Moon Lake in central Taiwan, an area known for misty hills, rich soil, and steady rainfall. The region creates the perfect growing conditions for bold, aromatic leaves.

What makes this black tea special isn’t just where it’s grown, but how it came to be. This tea comes from a unique hybrid cultivar: part Taiwanese high mountain tea, part Burmese Assam. And The result? A beautifully complex tea that’s rich, smooth, and full of wow.

The fully oxidised dry leaves are long, dark, and slightly twisted, larger than your average black tea. Unlike many black teas that hit you with intensity, Ruby 18 unfolds gradually. Once brewed, they release a golden amber liquor with a distinctive fragrance. Sip slowly and you’ll catch layers of natural spices and subtle cooling aftertaste that lingers in the mouth.

It’s calming, refined, and unexpectedly soothing. We say it’s the one that makes people fall in love with black tea all over again.
